Mary was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Franklin Congregation. Through the years she taught Sunday school at several different congregations and was active in PTA when her boys were in school. Mary was always ready to reach out and help others. Mary was the book-keeper for Gordon Gin Repair and Supply. She was Robert’s boss and advisor. Especially loved by Robert and the boys, Mary was dear to many friends and much family.
Mary was an avid golfer and was a member of the Hilltop Lakes Lady’s Golf Association. She served as president and tournament director during her time with them. Mary was a good golfer and during the years of her playing golf, there were two occasions when she got a “hole in one”!
Mary had lived in Hilltop Lakes for the last thirty three years with her husband Robert. At the time of Mary’s passing away, on Monday November 11, 2013, she was a resident of the Copper Creek Plaza Nursing Home in Buffalo, Texas.
The family wants to thank the people from Copper Creek for their kindness and the good job they did. They especially want to thank Tisha Martin for her being an angel, and for staying by Robert’s side during that last day. The family will never forget you! Also thank you to Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home for working with us. The family considers you “the best!”
